Olivia Stone

Olivia is a certified nutritionist and recipe developer who believes good health begins in the gut. After struggling with digestive issues in her twenties, she dedicated her career to creating meals that support the microbiome without sacrificing flavor. Her articles combine nutritional science with accessible, everyday cooking — from probiotic-rich breakfast bowls to fermented food guides. Olivia’s tone is friendly and empowering, making complex health concepts easy to digest. She’s also passionate about reviewing supplements and explaining how ingredients like prebiotics, fiber, and live cultures work together to boost digestive wellness. Outside the kitchen, she experiments with gut-friendly meal prep ideas and teaches online workshops about balanced nutrition.

Expertise areas

  • Gut microbiome nutrition: prebiotics, probiotics, fiber, and fermented foods in daily eating
  • Recipe development focused on digestive wellness without compromising on taste
  • Supplement review and ingredient analysis: live cultures, digestive enzymes, fiber blends, and more
  • Practical meal prep strategies built around gut-friendly whole foods
  • Translating microbiome research into cooking and eating habits real people can stick to
  • Fermentation at home: yogurt, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, and other cultured food basics
  • Supporting digestive health through diet first, with supplements as a considered second step

How I work

A lot of this started personally. I spent years dealing with digestive problems and experimenting with what actually helped, which gave me a firsthand reference point that textbook nutrition doesn't always provide. For recipe content I develop and cook everything myself, testing multiple versions until the flavor and the function are both where they need to be. I don't publish a recipe that tastes like medicine just because the ingredients are good for you. For supplement reviews I research the formulation, check whether the strains or fiber types have meaningful clinical backing, and where possible I use the product myself over a sustained period rather than forming an opinion after a week. I also stay current with gut health research, which moves fast, and I'm careful to distinguish between what the science actually supports and what's being marketed on the back of it.
